Cleanse with Berries
Everyone loves berries because of their sweet, fresh, and juicy flavors. These delicious fruits come in many varieties and forms which makes it easy to incorporate into any daily meal. There are more than two hundred species of berries grown in the United States alone which makes berry eating fun and adventurous. Berries are considered a superfruit due to their nutritional content rich in antioxidants.
Antioxidants are substances that act toward the side effects that come with aging like inflammation, arthritis, and weakened immune system. Antioxidants can also help prevent chronic illnesses like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. Vitamin C is one antioxidant that helps repair bone tissues, cartilage, and tendons. Berries are also great because they have plenty of dietary fiber which helps maintain body weight and blood glucose level.
Here are a couple of my favorite recipes that include a variety of ways to cook with berries.
Strawberries: antioxidants, vitamins, fiber, sodium-free, fat-free, cholesterol-free
Blueberries: antioxidants rich in potassium and Vitamin C, anti-inflammatory
Raspberries: antioxidants rich in potassium, essential fats, fiber
Enjoy a nightly self-care routine that includes a warm candle paired with a meal full of berries to truly cleanse your body. Incorporate berries into your daily diet to help reduce the process of aging within the body and help maintain a strong immune system. Berries can be made with any desert, breakfast, or main course meal that offer a fresh and delicious taste.
